My splitboard journey started 30 years ago, right here in the Wasatch Range - a place I like to call the motherland of splitboarding. A brief encounter in 1994 set me on a path which changed my life and how I travel on a snowboard in the mountains. As an early backcountry adopter, I dove right into the mountain classroom learning everything I could, from whoever I could about splitboarding, avalanche education and mountaineering. My approach taught me volumes and fast, it also provided access to so many places and a plethora of opportunities.

As the founder of Utah Adventures Unlimited, I am passionate about creating experiential splitboard education courses and leading trips. With many certificates, accreditations and specific course work, I have taken what I've learned over the decades and built out the framework for the courses at Utah Adventures Unlimited Each course can accelerate your learning path and give you the much needed fundamentals of splitboarding, avalanche awareness and more.

The courses provide something for everyone - from the beginner who's just getting started (Backcountry Essentials); to the intermediate rider looking to expand personal horizons (Expanding Horizons SB 201); to the Splitboarder looking for an mentor to prepare them for the ultimate goals of splitboard mountaineering and expedition preparation (Mentorship Program) Whatever level you're at, let me help get you on the right path of progression.
